Sadiya has been baking for 13 years and started off in her mother’s kitchen. This caught her curiosity and with the help of the Prince’s Trust Explore Enterprise Programme has launched a home based bakery in Hammersmith producing all kinds of puddings infused with typical Bangladeshi ingredients and spices. She is one of seven siblings and is called Afa by her younger brothers and sisters which is the inspiration for her business’ name. Her popular culinary inventions include turmeric carrot cake, mixed spice gluten free banana cake and vegan chocolate shortbread, but to name a few. Through her successes Afa’s desserts has been supplying for brunch’s, lunch’s, afternoon tea’s and film crew catering.
